Beyond Photos and Website: Property Marketing Tips

In a competitive market, a website, photo gallery, and Facebook page might not be enough to help you advertise your property online. These tools are essential to marketing, but they alone won’t give you an edge in appealing to clients – and possibly reaching niche ones.

Provide virtual tours

Supplement your website or social media gallery with a virtual tour. A virtual tour may take the form of a video that walks viewers through a property and its rooms. It may also be a webpage, featuring an image of the property that users can manipulate to gain 360-degree views of the place.

Virtual tours may not lend property seekers the same experience they’d have when touring a property in person, but they will at least give them a fuller idea of a place than standard photographs could. Virtual tours can also be very helpful to potential clients who do not have the time to immediately scope out a property.

Take advantage of Pinterest and Tumblr

Facebook and Twitter may reach broad client bases, but social media communities like Pinterest and Tumblr are better for catching the eye of people particularly passionate about beautiful homes, gardens, and properties.

Sign up for free accounts at these websites and post photos of your property for dedicated communities to see. This way, you could directly attract the interest and approval of tastemakers.

Promote beyond your property

What puts your property in Orange County above other properties for rent or sale in Southern California? It’s not just how good it is or how well you have it managed. It’s its location in Orange County – famous for its coastal lifestyle, cultural attractions, and pop cultural icons. As you set up your virtual tour and social media communities, make sure you reserve a photo gallery or two on these as well.
